"João Caeiro and Paz Braga are Portuguese architects. Together they have partnered on various projects around the world and co-founded the Adobe for Women Association.

João Caeiro lives in Oaxaca, Mexico. He has a PhD and a master's degree in sustainable architecture and is co-founder of RootStudio. He´s an award winning architect who combines commissions with projects in rural communities, where he has been developing sustainable projects and doing research on construction with local materials.

Paz Braga began her activity as an architect in Brazil, developing work in rehabilitation and also in sustainable construction.

They have now joined their cumulative experience to produce this unique project on the island of Príncipe.

(2017 til now) Consultant for Riad El Fenn (still working on project), decoration, restaurant/bar, store, bedrooms. Decoration of Luis Amaral riad in Marrakech, private houses in Casablanca and Rabat.
Nowadays, co-founder of Sarayan showroom and restaurant (opening in September 2021), private houses/gardens in progress, working on total re-decoration/gardens of Palais Aziza, boutique hotel in Marrakech.

To match our architectural and interior design skill set, I have invited Philippe Moreau, a well-respected international expert in luxury hospitality management and sustainable tourism to join the team. After completing hotel school in Switzerland in 1990, Philippe rose to management roles with Accor, Le Meridien and Minor Hotels as well as independent five-star boutique properties across Europe, South America, Asia and Africa.
For the past ten years, Philippe was responsible for the hotel & tourism development of www.hbdprincipe.com before moving on to launch www.pmhospitality.com. His vision is to harness the power of the tourism industry to improve the livelihood of local communities whilst protecting the natural environment. Philippe’s deep understanding of São Tomé & Príncipe will create the right ecosystem for this pioneering project.”
